Around the Table: Our First Art Dinner & What’s Next
In November 2025, we hosted our very first Art Dinner on the occasion of our inaugural pop-up exhibition Public Intimacies. The evening brought together four young artistic positions from Vienna — Johanna Wakolbinger, Kater D., NIZEN, and Rudolf Fitz — alongside art lovers and collectors in an intimate, relaxed setting.
What began as an experiment quickly turned into something much more. We experienced first-hand how powerful it can be to create space where artists and audiences meet on equal footing. Conversations unfolded naturally, connections were formed, and the atmosphere remained open and unforced throughout the entire evening. As the saying goes: the best conversations really do happen around the table.
FOOD AS A CONNECTOR
The culinary concept for the evening was developed and executed by the creative team of Café Friedlich, recently awarded with a Gault&Millau toque. Guests were treated to a fine-dining five-course menu that reinterpreted Austrian and Viennese classics in unexpected, playful ways. The result: a shared experience that nourished both conversation and curiosity. Everyone left well-fed — and inspired.
LOOKING AHEAD: ART MEETS HOSPITALITY
This first Art Dinner marked the starting point for a format we want to further develop throughout 2026. In the future, these dinners will be open to everyone interested in contemporary art, good food, and meaningful exchange. Tickets will be available directly through our website.
At the same time, we are expanding our expo-culinary concept to make it even more accessible. Upcoming formats currently in planning include:
-
ARTIST BRUNCH
Spend a relaxed Sunday brunch with us and our artists — informal, personal, and unhurried. -
ART & APERITIVO
An open, free-entry evening combining an artist talk with drinks and small bites. Come by, grab a glass, stay for the conversation.
A NEW HOME FOR DAVY ART SPACE
All future events will take place at our new permanent location at Lindengasse 51, 1070 Vienna. We’re looking forward to welcoming you there starting February 12, 2026.
See you around the table.
