Johanna Wakolbinger (1995, Linz) grew up in Vienna, where she developed an early sensitivity to art and a deep fascination with the effects of color and composition.
She completed both the college program and the master class at the Graphische in Vienna, where her interest in abstract modes of expression further evolved. At the heart of her artistic practice lie personal emotions, moods, and lived experiences, lending her work a distinctly intimate and individual character.

Alongside large-format painting, Wakolbinger works across a range of media, including linocut, ink drawing, tattooing, illustration, and graphic design.
